Usage of log files

Each page view generates log data in a protocol file, the server log. The server log will be saved. The saved content contains the following data:

  • Date, time, which file has been viewed, status, the request, data volume transferred and the Internet site from which you accessed the website reviewed; and
  • Product and version information of the browser used, your operating system and the country of origin.

This data will be used for statistical evaluations, for example to find out it which dates, at which times offers on our website are of particular interest. Furthermore this data informs us how much data volume is generated on our website.

In addition, log files enable us to recognise possible faults. In that sense log files can be used for the development of our websites. There is no consolidation of the page reviews and usages with individual people.

We reserve the right to use data contained in log files if there is a suspicion based on facts that users make use of our websites or our services for illegal purposes or in breach of contract.

Statistical evaluations with Piwik

This website uses the open source analytic software Piwik ( in order to render statistical evaluations with respect to the usage of our website. With such evaluation we have the possibility to optimise our websites for the users and to create them more user-friendly. Piwik saves collected data (e.g. shortened IP address, time, page reviewed, used browser, search engine, plug-ins) in a database. Therein, the evaluations generated by Piwik are completely anonymous and cannot be used for the identification of individual people. IP addresses will become illegible (shortened) prior to entry into the database. A consolidation of data saved by Piwik with other data sources or a transfer to third parties does not take place.

Possible alteration of the privacy policy

This privacy policy can be changed at any time, in order to adapt it to technical or legal alterations. Therefore, it is necessary that you regularly review this privacy policy in order to be kept informed about its actual content. In case your consent is necessary, we will inform you about the respective alterations and ask you for your consent.
